YUKIGASSEN

Yukigassen (Japanese 雪合戦 'snow fight') is a Japanese team sport based on the principle of a snowball fight. The sport is played all over the world and is particularly popular in Asia and Scandinavia. The official world championships are held in Japan every year, while the European championships are held annually in Finland. The world association, the International Alliance of sports Yukigassen, is based in Hokkaido (Japan).

ÖYV
The Austrian Yukigassen Association (ÖYV) is the federal sports association for Yukigassen sport in Austria, a member of the International Alliance of sports Yukigassen and organiser of the international Austrian Yukigassen Championships. The ÖYV is based in Filzmoos (DorfstraSSe 12, 5532 Filzmoos).
